Child's plate, white earthenware with a brownish discolouration, inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded in relief with a wreath of foliage, the top of the plate pierced with a hole through which a length of cord is tied to enable suspension; the well transfer-printed in blue with the inscription 'God / Is Love' within an octagonal border surrounded by a wreath of foliage and an outer circle, the moulded foliage to the rim painted in blue, yellow, orange and green enamels.
