Most of the bowl is present, but the stamp is illegible. The ware is good, though worn, and the profile has definite, though not sharp, carination. The upper zone decoration is of plain double festoons containing a spiral and rosette, with roped tassels between: the lower zone has straight gadroons with a border round their lower ends, and probably also their upper ends, though the relief is very blurred and worn at this point. Below the gadroons are tiny astragali. The general scheme of decoration could be of any date, and the lower zone gadroons recall some very early bowls. There are parallels for the upper zone from Margidunum and Verulamium, which is a 29/37, and probably quite late.
