Early Medieval human skull
This is the Disarticulated Skull of a Younger Child (3-5 years). It is in a poor state of preservation with only a few bone fragments and teeth remaining.
The skull was found in the same grave fill as SK393, on the left side of SK393's pelvis and upper leg. Both skeletons are so poorly preserved excavators couldn't tell if they were a deliberate double burial or if the skull was disarticulated and disturbed from a different grave. The burial is from Phase H: 800-1019 AD
