Covered cup and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, cup standing of a foot rim, flared sides, angular, broken rectangle handle, domed cover with circular laurel wreath and ribbon finial; decorated opposite the handle with a monochrome profile portrait of a male sitter with wig, surrounded in a gilt tooled cartouche, gilt border to foot rim and lip; cover decorated with one cartouche with "a l'Amitié" inscribed on a clouded, sky background, surrounded with a tooled cartouche with a ribbon bow at the top, geometric gilt border to rim. Saucer standing on a foot rim, flared sides, centre decorated with monogram "CA" or "AC" against a clouded, sky monochrome background surrounded by a gilt, tooled cartouche with a ribbon bow at top, geometric gilt border to lip.
