Teapot and cover
Teapot, black basalt, narrow foot-rim, round squat body, shaped raised gallery, plain straight spout with a metal mount fitted to the lip, 'D'-shaped loop handle with a thumb-spur jutting out over the upper terminal, the exterior body moulded to resemble cut bamboo with horizontal staves running around it, round domed cover with reeding radiating out from the centre, to the centre a finial modelled in the form of a reclining spaniel, a pierced steam hole to one side. The rim of the cover chipped.
