Evidence of previous machine stitch holes and pattern of soiling in line with the side seams on lining (back panel) indicates that the waistcoat has been altered, i.e. made wider. blue tabby wool inner facing down centre front, c. 6cm wide, to reinforce buttons and button holes. Buckle at centre back is metal, lacquered black.
