Early Medieval human remains
These are remains from the Inhumation Burial. The remains are in an extremely poor state of preservation with only undiagnostic fragments of cranium and pelvis remaining. The individual was probably an Adult.
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented Northwest-Southeast.
The burial is from Phase C: 401-659 AD
The burial is from Phase E: 606-873 AD, on the South West edge of the main burial mound. Her left femur was radiocarbon dated to 663-873 AD. The Skeleton Catalogue incorrectly lists this Skeleton as from Phase C, which was a century earlier.
