The hinge leaf remains though again the loop is lost. A hole in the lid indicates that there was once a knob handle for lifting. The apparently straight edge adjacent to the hole does not indicate that this lid belongs to the provinical series of jugs described above (published no. 1) where the lid terminates in an abrubt upturned edge, since this is an accident of the breakage.
