A badge (possibly a pilgrim badge) in the form of a quatrefoil with a central human face.
The badge is flat, in the form of an openwork quatrefoil. Each lobe has a pelleted border on the inner and outer surface. At the centre of the badge is a beared male human face, encircled by a series of seven small rounded knops at evenly spaced intervals. The spacing of the knops suggests there were originally 8 present. On the reverse of the badge is an integral pin to secure the badge to cloth. It is set vertically down from the top of the badge and has a diamond-shaped cross section.
