White fan with carved bone sticks and guards, painted with floral design and trimmed with lace. Sticks and guards have carved floral and fretwork decoration. Painted organza leaf is adhered onto sticks and guards; tops of sticks are also tied to leaf using white thread. Lower edge of leaf is trimmed with a narrow strip of lace, while upper edge is trimmed with wider, floral lace. Seven panels of the same floral lace are inserted into the organza. Sticks and guards are held together at the bottom by a brass fixing pin over a domed brass washer. A brass suspension hoop is fitted at the same position.
