Five letters of correspondence between W.Hancock of Birmingham University Mining Department and John Davies & Son (Derby) Ltd. regarding the loan of material for a Mining Department conversazione. Letters 88.98I/6 (13) and (16) are from W.Hancock to John Davis & Son Ltd., typed in black ink on off-white paper. Dated 15th and 18th Feb 1938. Letters 88.98I/6 (14), (15) and (17) are from John Davis & Son (Derby) Ltd. to W.Hancock, typed in black ink on off-white, company headed paper. The letters are dated 17th, 21st and 26th Feb, 1938. These five letters were secured by a paperclip. All documents with the accession number 88.98I/6 were originally contained together in an acidic card file.
