This is a wide thin slab of stone incised with a simple cross and lines.
Description; The slab is wide and roughly shaped. Three edges are almost rectangular, one edge curves away leaving a straight diagonal edge. The narrowest edge, to the left of the cross, was cut away to make room for a later grave. The face is decorated with a simple incised celtic cross. The cross shafts are simple straight lines. The upper cross has four simple straight lines forming a lozenge frame. Three of the terminals, all but the top, are framed with short straight lines at ninety degrees. They connect with the shafts with additional lines; the right arm two lines forming a triangle, the bottom form a semi-circle, the left only has one curved line making a quarter-circle. Below and to the right of the cross are seven additional straight lines. They are roughly carved and have no clear purpose. The carving has been lightly incised with a knife. It is mudstone, probably locally derived.
Structure 618 Stone C, lay flat on the lower middle portion of the flat surface of rectangular structure 618. It was the southernmost of three large capstones on the structure's surface. The decoration lay face up and prominently visible. The incised cross faced the opposite direction from the large cross on stone A. A complete diagram of the Structure 618 stones is available in the accession file.
