Booklet 'With Downcast Gays. Aspects of homosexual self-oppression' by A. Hodges & D. Hutter. First published in 1974, this edition was published by Pink Triangle Press in 1977. The idea of self-oppression was contained in the London Gay Liberation Front Manifesto (written in 1971) where it states “Self-oppression is achieved when the gay person has adopted and internalised straight people's definition of what is good and bad”.
