Counter-relief. Corner tile of a 9-tile design (central tile missing): the overall design consists of a circular band with pellets, containing two interlaced squares set diagonally to each other, one looped round the circle at its corners; in the spaces are hearts, a quatrefoil, five-petalled flowers and a fetter-lock; in each corner outside the circle are two leaf motifs. The fetter-lock was a Yorkist device, borne first by Edmund Langley (1341-1402) and later by Edward IV (1442-83).
