Spit-jack (clockwork)
Brass clockwork spit-jack, mounted on wooden block. The jack has a wooden drum. This was driven by weights suspended from the drum. The power was transmitted to the spit by an endless band on the wooden drum. The weights, winding key and rope are missing.
