Casgliadau Arlein

Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Sandringham', showing a large country house with a large glass house to one side and a lake in the foreground with two figures walking alongside it, around the bottom of the scene is printed the inscription "SANDRINGHAM, THE SEAT OF H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES", the print enclosed by a narrow circular line border. The glaze crazed.
