Enw'r Safle: The Castle Farm, Llanwnog
Nodiadau: found during agricultural operations by the collector, occupier of the farmhouse called 'The Castle', in the angle of a field formed by two paths 500 feet south of the aforementioned house, on the south side of Ystradfaelog Hill. Obtained from the collector by Dr. R. Davies Jones. The find spot was originally stated in the departmental documentation as Cefn Coch Farm, Trefeglwys, from information provided by B. H. St. J. O'Neil; but, according to a pencilled note in both the departmental accession register and in Archaeologia Cambrensis 86 (1931) p356, "The find spot according to information given by B. H. St. J. O'Neil (25.1.32) is in the parish of Llanwnog, not Trefeglwys as previously given". The article in Archaeologia Cambrensis 86 also states the find spot as being 'The Castle', not Cefn Coch Farm. The stated coordinates place the find spot just south of 'The Castle', with Cefn Coch Farm to the east and Trefeglwys to the south-west.
