Figure of Napoleon Bonaparte, white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze, lightweight body with marked with several patches of firing speckles including on figure's face, standing on an oval plinth with a gilt line round. Figure in military dress of black shoes, white stockings, pink breeches with a gilt line round, green waistcoat, a tailed underglaze blue coat buttoned over the chest and with the details outlined with gilding, orange epaulettes, black hair. Reclining against a tree trunk or foliage covered slope, the edges modelled as tree branches terminating in clumps of purple/green/orange extruded foliage, with his legs crossed at ankles, right hand tucked into waistcoat, left arm propped up against branch, a yellow handled sword with a black blade propped up by left leg, black cocked hat lying beside it. Plinth decorated with a band of smudges of powedered green, puce and orange.
