Presentation to two retiring dockers at Barry Docks of a cheque each for £40, subscribed by their colleagues at the port. The presentation was carried out by the Lady Mayor of Barry, Alderman Joyce Atkins who was the widow of a former Barry Dock worker. From left to right are - F Clemo (Chairman of the Dockers' Committee), J. O'Sullivan (retiring docker), R. Blake (retiring docker), Joyce Atkins (Lady Mayor), S. Clapp (N.D.L.B. Welfare Officer), Marcus Watt (Barry Docks Manager), and F. Jones (chairman of the Dockers' Social Club where the function took place.
