Casgliadau Arlein

Pearl glazed earthenware meat dish, eight sided oblong, eight notches to rim. Centre with recessed channels along and across it and a well at the right hand end. Supported on two feet. Transfer printed in underglaze blue with the Swansea Willow Pattern (or Long Bridge pattern) of three arched bridge, pagodas and junks, with butterfly border. Patterned cavetto of a cellular ground with floral reserves. Brown enamelled rim.
