Casgliadau Arlein

A fabric doll with a stuffed body and a moulded, sized face. The facial features have been painted – red heart shaped lips, black eyes, pronounced eyelids and two black beauty spots. The doll has golden hair of mercerized cotton, plaited and coiled at either side of the face. She has long limbs and poorly defined hands and feet.

Clothing: Black silk dress which is tight fitting from the waist up. From the waist down, there are three layers – the two outer layers are open and brocaded. Lace hem on sleeves. One piece cotton undergarment, laced trouser legs.
