Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading waisted squared-off foot-rim, fluted oviform body tapering inwards at the shoulder before flaring out to the mouth, moulded scrolls to the lip-rim, wide spout, scrolling high loop handle with a raised thumb-spur and an inner spur further down, layered foliate moulding to the lower terminal; transfer-printed in flow blue with the 'Whampoa' pattern, a collection of oriental buildings, linked by bridges and fences, stand on islands in an expanse of water, a spreading tree issues from the largest building, in the background are further buildings on islands, wide border to the interior and exterior lip-rim and spout of scrolls and flower heads on a crazed blue ground, crazed blue border to the handle.
