The foot-rim of the cover chipped, a crack to one side of the body of the cup. Saucer, pale cream coloured earthenware with a greenish tinge to the glaze, a cylindrical sunken well to hold the cup and curving sides; decorated in brown enamel and gilt with around the rim the same ornamental border as on the cup, a brown line around the edge of the well. The base of the well broken and repaired.
