Cross-cut saw
A long cross cut saw used for cutting sycamore tree trunks and branches into logs. It was operated by two persons holding vertical wooden handles, one at each end of the blade. The handles are in steel sockets attached to the blade by an assortment of large rivets, nuts and bolts. The blade has fifty eight teeth of the common 'peg' or 'fleam' type, two teeth per inch.
