Composite moulded pillar-cross of four members joined by mortice and tenon joints, comprising a truncated pyramidal base, lower quadrangular shaft capped with a plain 'abacus', massive central 'knop' and combined(?) upper shaft and head (the head is now missing). The base and cross are decorated on all faces with panels of carved patterns and figure-representations (badly damaged by weathering) in low to high relief. I. Five pairs of plain Stafford knots in a double vertical row. B. Strand with median groove in diagonal key-pattern C. Strands with median groove forming figure-of-eight interlace, ending in a Stafford knot. D. Strands with median groove II. Formed of five main horizontal bands of decoration. III. Lower shaft 1. Neck is palin 2. Massive angle-mouldings. The columns are capped by roll-mouldings and horizontal bans of two-strand plait below.. 3.
