Evans & Glasson, Cambrian Pottery (1851 - 1862)
Plate, earthenware, rounded foot-rim with raised band around it, circular shape with curving sides and spreading rim, lobed rim with eight raised edges running from the edge of the rim towards well; transfer-printed in black and overpainted in puce, green, yellow and blue with an oriental fence pattern, an oriental fence emerges from a background of rocks and branches of oriental flowers and foliage, a wide border of floral sprays to the rim, surmounted by a narrow border of ovular shapes, whole of body is 'tinselled' with a lustrous metallic wash.
