Seems to read - Feb 7th 1915. Dear Brothers and Sisters. Just a line in answer to your?? and welcome letter and am glad to hear that you are all in good health as it leaves me at present. I received the parcel the very day I had to dgo to the trenches and I want to thank you fir it so that is the reason why I have not written as we are ever on the alert waiting for them and they know it. We have had a few sharp fights with them but we more than hold our own with them. I had the photograph (?) to cheer up. Am going back for a rest (?) again in ??? time.
