Casgliadau Arlein

Figure of an unidentified Prussian General on horseback facing right, white earthenware, blue tinted glaze, oval base with a gilt line round, good definition. Largely white and gilt, figure in military uniform of boots, breeches, fitted coat, brown sash across chest and around waist, yellow epaulettes, grey hair and whiskers. Left arm bent across waist and holding gilt reins, holding a grey hat/cap marked with black lines and with a black peak against body with right hand, figure facing outwards. Horse stepping with head bent, and decorated with gilt stars, pale blue saddle and saddle cloth. Further gilt detailing on figure and horse, especially on the horse's mane and tail. Rough ground rising to support horse under belly.
