This heavily corroded iron object is roughly trianglular in shape. There are large lumps of corroded material at the wide end, the opposite end forms a narrower point. Upon x-ray the object appears to be a loop attached to a rod or shaft. It may be the terminal of a larger object.
Recovered from a layer of silty-clay post-dating the use of Building B.
Enw'r Safle: Porth y Rhaw, Solva
Nodiadau: Excavations undertaken during the summers of 2019, 2021 and 2022 at Porth-y-Rhaw coastal promontory fort, Solva, Pembrokeshire (SAM PE-273), revealing occupation and finds of Iron Age and Romano-British date. The project was funded by Cadw, the Nineveh Charitable Trust, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and The National Trust. The entire archive for this excavation was created and stored in digital format and is not held by Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales.
