Chinese ceramic male doll

Part of the Edward Lovett collection of dolls

Ceramic doll. Painted white with painted features and red lips. Black hair plaited long down the back with a black fabric band wrapped around the head and down the back attached to the doll with large metal pins (2). Dressed in a long black and red tunic with long sleeves and Chinese characters on the chest and a bead closing at neck. Black trousers with black and green clay shoes with white soles.
