This is a large burnt flint knife which would have been used to chip away from to create other tools.
Its striking pattern is on the point of the cortex. It has a natural cortex backing it running one length. The distal end has denticulations, rather like a denticulated knife. The main length is retouched. It has an area of possible thermal damage from burning on the ventral surface which disrupts the retouch.
The flint has a white patination.
