Narrow open-work belt-plate with a rounded open-work appendage at one end. The opposite end of the belt plate is damaged and it is not now possible to determine how it terminated; the broken edges which remain suggest there may perhaps have been a hinge for a buckle which would be compatible decoratively as it would afford a balance to the other terminal. At the broken end of the belt plate the bar is pierced in the centre with a hole through which passed an iron shanked rivet or stud. In the equivalent position at the opposite end of the plate a shank of bronze emerges from the rear of the plate.
