Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base, cylindrical sides, loop handle; decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with to the front of the exterior body an oval panel painted with a spray of flowers, the panel enclosed by a gilt foliate border on an underglaze blue band, around the rest of the upper body a border of rectangular panels edged in gilt and painted with alternating rose sprigs and gilt foliage on an orange ground, around the foot-rim and exterior lip-rim gilt foliate borders on underglaze blue bands, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, inset base and flaring sides; decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with to the centre of the well a spray of flowers, around the sides of the well a border of rectangular panels edged in gilt and painted with alternating rose sprigs and gilt foliage on an orange ground, around the edge of the well and the rim gilt foliate borders on underglaze blue bands.
