Plate, pearl glazed, recessed footring, notched rim, the well transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the 'Cows Crossing a Stream' pattern - a rustic scene with three cows in a stream, a farm hand behind, wooden bridge and a large tree to the left, watermill and trees etc behind; dense floral border mostly of roses; three stilt marks to upper side, fine pitting to the glaze, and black speckling visible on unprinted side.
