Slightly curving antler tine cut off squarely and with a sub-rectangular perforation 13mm from the cut end. The cancellous tissue is hollowed out through its entire length, irregular facets have been recmoved adjacent to the perforation and near the tip. The surface is polished in places but weathered, dameged at both ends with a longitudinal split across the perforation. The objects are usually identified as cheekpiece and have been found at Iron Age sites such as Glastonbury Lake Village (Bulleid and Grey, 1917, 440-454, PL.LXIV) and Maiden Castle (Wheeler, 1943, 308-9, fig.105).
