Sugar box, hard-paste porcelain, octagonal, standing on a foot rim, squat, octagonal body with bulging sides, domed, moulded cover with pagoda-shaped finial; decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with two scenes opposite one another of two chinoiserie figures seated in front of a table, within gilt and purple lustre ornamental cartouches, two rabbits and insets to another side, two birds and insects to other, gilt border to shoulders, cover decorated with an elaborate gilt border, a geometric iron-red border and two scenes, one of two chinoiserie figures, one seated the other standing, gilt and iron-red and green strips to finial, gilt to rim.
