The winning team of an award given by the Felixstowe Dock & Railway Company in connection with The Institute of Work Study Practitioners, for the year's most meritorious and original Productivity Improvement Project. The prize winning project was initiated by Marcus Watt (Barry Docks Manager) when the method of discharging banana's from the Geest Ships at the port was changed from conveyors to containers. From left to right are Marcus Watt, Neil O'Donnell (Work Study Assistant for South Wales Ports and Project Leader), Les Burman (Barry Docker and Chairman of Barry Dockers Association), Alan Warner (South Wales Ports), Frank Madden (British Transport Docks Board), Denis Waters (Barry Docker and Vice Chairman of Barry Dockers Association). The team of four visited the Port of Rotterdam as part of their prize.
