A low oak panelled chair, mid 18th century. Belonged to the Owens family of Glansevern, Montgomeryshire. This chair was probably first used at their early home of Glyngynwydd. Following shrewd investments in land, mining and by marriage. They later built Glansevern mansion in Berriew, Montgomeryshire. At this time they were known as the Owens The initials of the children who used it have been carved on the back: ADO (Arthur Davies Owen 1753-1816); MI (Mary Owen, 1745-1805) and T?
