Cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain; cup standing on rounded foot rim, London shape, with a thick, curvaceous ogee handle; saucer standing on a rounded foot rim with slightly curved spreading sides; painted with set pattern 231, - a shaped border inside the cup and saucer with gilt arabesques and scrolls, and red and white stylised flowers on a pale pink ground, interspersed with dark underglaze blue geometric shapes with a gilt Greek key pattern, and protruding pale blue candles; inner border of red flowers with green and gilt leaves, on a white ground; inside saucer lip, and to the cup's exterior, a pale blue border cross-hatched with gilt; gilt wavy foliate band around exterior of cup, gilt handle, and gilt band to foot rim.
