Casgliadau Arlein

Good dark red ware, with slip of same material, with an angular groove below the inner edge of the rim, which is more or less angular in section. 7 is unusually small. The ware and flat rim suggests an early date, which is unparalleled elsewhere, except at Chester. There rims of similar type and identical ware are dated late first century (Newstead, Records, Pl.XXIII, 3, 4)
