Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, curving rounded spreading sides, a raised ridge aroiund the lower body, loop handle with raised thumb-spur; transfer-printed in flow blue with to the interior bottom of the bowl a scaled down version of the 'Whampoa' pattern showing a collection of elaborate pagodas linked by bridges and fences and with a spreading willow-like tree hanging over them, an elongated version of the same pattern to the exterior sides of the bowl, border to the interior lip-rim of flower heads, foliage and scrolls on a scale blue ground, scale blue border to the handle. Saucer, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and curving rounded spreading sides; transfer-printed in flow blue with to the centre of the well the 'Whampoa' pattern as on the cup, border to the rim as on the cup.
