Petter Patent 'S' Type Oil Engine from Gelli. Used by the area water authority. Works No. - 208144, B.H.P. - 18, R.P.M. - 450.

Vertical single cylinder, two-stroke cycle,surface ignition diesel engine. Colour - grey, black and green. Runs on diesel oil or refined petroleum (kerosene) - a specific gravity of not more than 0.86. The initial heat for starting was normally supplied by a cold start cartridge. Fitted with a 'Calibrator' mechanical sight feed lubricator. Compression pressure should be 150 lbs per sq in. Twin flywheels of 1066 mm diameter.
