Enw'r Safle: Coed-Ffranc, Neath
Nodiadau: During the erection of an oil refinery for the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, an old quarry was re-opened near Neath. The coins were found by an employee of the oil company in an accumulation of loose stones and debris on steps cut into the quarry sides. Between 150 and 200 coins were found, and many were badly broken during the discovery. A large number of the coins were in too poor a condition to be retained, but 61 were deposited at the National Museum of Wales.
