The front and sides are crudely decorated with pecked designs and inscriptions: A.1. Panel with cable border (only partially present), containing a double-beaded Latin cross with bifid terminals. (The lower arm is flanked by two figures). On left a male in a straight, knee-length tunic, his righ arm bent from his body, holding a square object, his left arm raised at the elbow in the orans attitude, both feet turned to the figure`s right. Right, a taller femal figurein a similar tunic, breasts boldly depicted with three raidating lines extending downwards, the arms are raised in the orans attitude above and resting on each sholder are two incised rings with central hollows. low down on the same side is a small four-legged animal (a dog or lamb). A.2. Below the cross and the figures are three separate motifs: from left; (a) a rectangular fret pattern, (b) a rectilinear design of four linked squares and, (c) an irregular, double-beaded knot, probably intended for a triquetra. A.3. A horizontal band of irregular four-strand plaitwork. B. Vertical band of double-beaded, four-strand plaitwork. C. Not visible. D. Two Latin inscriptions.
