Casgliadau Arlein

Sugar bowl and cover, hard-paste porcelain, cylindrical shape, standing on a flat base, straight sides sloping inwards at base, domed cover with modelled sprig finial, slightly overlapping base; decorated in polychrome enamels, one side with a harbour scene with two figures, a dog and a barrel in centre, two figures one on a horse to the left, two ships behind, opposite a harbour scene with two central figures, one on a horse, the other standing with a dog, two figures to left, buildings (possibly a church) to right and behind. Cover decorated on one side with two figures and a dog, one seated, tree and rocks to left, house to right (same as on sides), opposite a figure dressed in purple on horseback, tree stump in foreground, ship behind, two sprigs, one pink and one yellow in between, finial painted in blue and gilt, gilt border to rim.
