Casgliadau Arlein

Skirt of dress, 1890-95. Bound at bottom with chenille edged braid. The material is woven in 2" squares of black gauze with a black over-check. There is a ½" wide white check dividing the black squares from one another. Worn by Fanny Lloyd (nee Evans), at Glyn Teg, Llanbrynmair. Made by her sister, Sarah Jane Peate (nee Evans), of Llwynderw, Llanbrynmair.
