Casgliadau Arlein

Bowl, earthenware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot, curving rounded sides; transfer-printed in brown and overpainted in red, blue and green with to the exterior sides of the bowl a Chinese-style scene showing a peacock-like bird in the foreground with to one side a spreading spray of large flowers and foliage and to the other side a distant pagoda, to the interior bottom of the bowl a small scene showing a pagoda, fence and spreading willow tree, border tro the interior rim of spreading branches, large flower heads and foliage issuing from a dentilled brown band which has been tinselled with a lustre wash.
