One of an identical pair with Accession No. F69.191.2 (dressed differently).
Doll dressed as a fisherman. The head is made of unglazed china and is mounted on a 5 inch stuffed body, probably made of and reinforced with wood. The head has a painted hairline, painted eyes and realistic features in the Biedermeier tradition. The arms are made of metal needles covered with sticking plaster and are easily manipulated. The legs are made of wood from thigh to knee and are not articulated. From the knee down are strong fisherman's boots made from earthenware and painted black.
Clothing: the doll is dressed in a yellow fisherman's costume with a fishing net over its right shoulder and rope of its left.
