Retirement presentation of a fireside chair to Alf Ruscoe by A.W. Johns, Personnel Manager for South Wales Ports. A.R. Roscoe entered the docks service in 1921 aged sixteen as a junior clerk in the General Manager's office at Cardiff Docks. He spent all of his working life of 47 years here, where he worked in Coal Shipping, Dockmaster's, and Docks Accounts. From 1946-1957 he worked in the Chief Docks Manager's office, moving to the Stores department in 1964 until his retirement in September 1968.
