Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, inset base, cylindrical sides, sharp shoulder, cylindrical neck, curving eight-sided spout, elaborate interlaced square handle, round domed cover with to the centre an octagonal finial and a pierced steam hole to one side; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot round panels painted with naked children in landscapes, two similar panels to the top of the cover, the panels enclosed by gilt bands and separated by scrolling gilt foliate motifs, gilt lines around the foot-rim, shoulder, neck and lip-rim of the teapot and the rim of the cover, the spout, handle and finial picked out in gilt.
